Inside 75 days happy...
75 days happy, yes you read that right, not the usual 75 days hard. I am on an intentional mission to get back to my happiest, sparkiest, truest self.
At the end of last year. I started to feel so wildly disconnected from myself, I felt I was constantly doing, living in autopilot, not actually giving myself time to be present and simply just be, this led me to feel distant and discombobulated.
It kind of sucks that sometimes you only realise you need to make a change when you have a major wobble, but hey-ho, it happens to the best of us. I’m here to share my 75 days happy journey in the hope to inspire even just one person to take some steps towards full happiness without the nudge of a breakdown.
I dived headfirst into 75 days happy – whereby I have chosen 6 habits to incorporate daily that collectively nourish my mind, body and soul, helping me come back home to my happiest, truest, most present self… ready to check out my habits?

1. Breathwork — a truly calming action for the mind and body. I am trying to incorporate different technique such as box breathing, 3 deep breaths or the 4-7-8 technique to help me feel grounded, especially before mealtimes to really help me slow down and be present at the table, life is SO fast paced and I’m so grateful to be able to create such seasonal yummy food, it’s time I really make sure my body feels the benefits of these plates!
2. Journalling — journalling is a fab way to acknowledge gratitude, hold myself accountable and reflect on the day. There is something so mentally soothing about seeing your thoughts written down, it almost makes them feel less daunting and more comprehendible. I am not the best at sitting down for so long, so I opted for the classic 5-minute journal, so simple and quick, yet deeply mindful.
3. Intentional movement — for so long I would push through certain workouts when my body was so exhausted, and I learnt the hard way… there is a breaking point if you keep doing this! So, I’m working on moving with how my body feels, this looks like a mixture of strength, reformer, strong Pilates, boxing, lots of boxing… the occasional run and a tonne of steps!
4. Diversifying my meals — I LOVE to create and cook, I’m always doing it for content or clients, yet when it comes to myself, I feel like I’m often so tired I am a creature of habit and have the same dinners on repeat. So, I am challenging myself to really get creative and intentional with my meals!
5. Social connection — this has got to be the latest longevity hack, so deeply nourishing. I’m striving for daily connection, with friends, family, loved ones, whether a cuddle, a cuppa or a class — these moments are priceless and equally nourishing. stimulating and encouraging.
6. Creative outlet — creative expression is so freeing, and it requires your full attention, for me I love to paint so I’ve been working on some pieces that I was yet to finish, seeing the final product produces just as much dopamine as being fully present in the process!

Collectively, these habits nourish mind, body and soul, and it’s so important to remember, true wellness is about looking after all 3.
When you aren’t in tune with yourself, it’s hard to show up for all areas of life… love, work, friendship, movement, mindfulness… the process of coming back home to yourself is vital. By connecting with yourself you will be able to show up for all areas of life with more joy, passion and intention.
Consider this your gentle nudge to start creating your habits in the moment you feel you need it the most, don’t put it off, or wait until Monday, jump in, after all tomorrow is not promised and we are here to *eatlife up, so begin your journey now.
