Marylebone Farmers Market with *eatlife

Amongst the London madness you will find, Marylebone Farmers Market which unfolds each week with an ease that feels almost ritualistic, think seasonal fruit and veg, homemade pasta, sourdough loaves, local cheeses, organic meet, beautiful blooms and much more.

Rooted in freshness, integrity and the simple beauty of eating in tune with the seasons, it aligns effortlessly with a holistic approach to nourishment. There is something about Marylebone’s calm elegance, its understated charm, its soft, unhurried pace, that invites you to reconnect with food in its purest, most delicious form.

Though set in the heart of the city, Marylebone village feels wonderfully cocooned: quaint, cosy, and gently lined with trees that soften the rhythm of London life. An independent neighbourhood at its core, it is refined yet relaxed, stylish yet quietly grounded.

The intimate scale of Marylebone Farmers Market, which is part of London Farmers Market, creates a closeness between grower and visitor, a kind of shared appreciation for honest, seasonal abundance. And it’s here, among the makers, farmers and early morning wanderers, that eatlifecollective finds its rhythm.

The preparation for market day begins long before the first customer stop by the stall. For Lottie, nothing about this process is hurried; it is intuitive, seasonal, and deeply intentional. Each week she begins by sourcing the finest ingredients, always whole, always unprocessed. Her treats are naturally free from gluten, refined sugars, and seed oils, a reflection of her commitment to creating sweets that nourish as beautifully as they satisfy.

Lottie creates her two collections: for now and for home.

For Now

A selection designed to be enjoyed in the moment. Aromatic and irresistibly fresh. These are the pieces you savour as you wander through Marylebone, wrapped in the comfort of something just made. Or, for those who prefer to take their pleasures home, these treats are equally perfect for an evening curled under a blanket, shared softly with loved ones. Her ever changing for now offerings include raw cinnamon rolls, collagen cookies, cashew snickers, Medjool dates filled with pistachio and buckwheat, apple sponge with date caramel, and pillowy collagen marshmallows, and many more.

For Home

A curated collection created to travel. Elegant, intentional, and designed to bring a little market magic into the days that follow. Eatifecollective granolas come in flavours like wild berry, apple pie, and coco-nutty, each batch toasted to perfection. The nut butters made in Lottie’s kitchen, are fast becoming a signature. The pistachio butter, in particular, crafted with Iranian pistachios, Tahitian vanilla bean, coconut oil and a touch of agave, is a quiet masterpiece. Her pistachio, chocolate and cherry cantucci, made with Ombar chocolate - a staple in eatlifecollective creations - is another favourite, elegantly bridging indulgence and nourishment.

A Few Favourites

Each market brings something new from Lottie’s hands, her offerings shifting in harmony with the season. Some have become my personal favourites:

The sticky chai donut, soft with spice and glazed with maple, almond and date.

The marylebone chocolate bite, Lottie’s refined interpretation of Dubai’s famed confection, layered with crunchy pistachio, buckwheat and coconut between ribbons of creamy Ombar chocolate.

The silken almond praline torte, with its crunchy crust and velvety cacao ganache.

The blue spirulina bounty ball, bright, light and impossibly moreish, made with banana, gluten-free oats, Ombar chocolate and rolled delicately in coconut.

Together, these creations feel like small acts of nourishment, crafted with elegance, guided by intuition, and brought to life with Lottie’s unmistakable touch. They are the kind of sweets you find yourself returning to, time and time again.

And so, as the stalls begin to tidy and the last crumbs of morning linger in the air, Marylebone slips back into its quiet, familiar charm. People stroll away with paper bags tucked under their arms and cheeks still rosy from the cool London air, a simple sort of happiness that only comes from finding something truly made with care.

In the midst of it all, eatlifecollective feels like a little kitchen that has appeared in the heart of the city, doors quietly open, hearts gently warm. Lottie’s creations have the feeling of treats you might set aside for someone you hold dear. They are wrapped with thought, made slowly, and offered with the kind of smile that seems to say, “go on then, take another.” There is comfort in that. A quiet reminder that food, when made intentionally, becomes more than a sweet. It becomes a memory you can hold in your hands.

So, if ever you wander through Marylebone on a Sunday, allow yourself to drift toward the market. Take your time. Pause for a chat. Tuck into a slice or pop into your bag for later. You may find, as many of us do, that the loveliest things are never rushed nor loud, but soft, steady and made by hand.

Because sometimes the most nourishing indulgence is the simplest one. Something delicious to savour slowly, and the gentle feeling of being looked after.

Come and see *eatlife every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month from February.
