Eggs are a complete protein, meaning they carry all 9 essential amino acids your brain uses to make feel good neurotransmitters like serotonin. One of those is tryptophan, the building block your body uses to make serotonin in the first place.
Then there’s the squash. Acorn squash brings fibre, which feeds the good bacteria in your gut. Because a large part of your serotonin is made in the gut, looking after your gut supports your mood too.
That’s why this combo works. Protein from the egg supports your brain, fibre from the squash supports your gut, and together they support the gut-brain connection in one simple, gorgeous bite.
