Tart Cherry & Cacao Restorative Bars
A simple, nutrient dense evening snack formulated to support rest & recovery. Tart cherries provide natural melatonin, cacao offers magnesium to relax the nervous system, and slippery elm soothes digestion.

Ingredients for 12 bars
Base
1 tbsp slippery elm powder
15 g cacao
130 g gluten-free oats
3 tbsp tart cherry juice
1 banana
35 g maple syrup
50 g dried tart cherries
Topping
45 g maple syrup
25 g melted coconut oil
15 g cacao
Method
Add all base ingredients to a food processor and blitz until combined.
Line a dish with baking paper, then press the mixture into the dish and smooth over.
Mix maple syrup, melted coconut oil, and cacao until smooth for the topping.
Pour and spread topping over the base, then place in the fridge to set for 3 hours.
Slice into bars when firm. Store in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 1 month.

Keep in the fridge for up to 3 days, or in the freezer for up to 1 month.
